Tarot For Beginners - How To Use Tarot Cards For Self-Discovery And Guidance
Tarot cards are often linked to future predictions and mystic practices. And yes, while they can be used for divination, Tarot cards also have other uses that people are unaware of.
For example, the Tarot Reading Course can be an amazing guide throughout your life. You can use the Tarot readings to improve and grow as an individual. But first, let’s understand the purpose and basics of Tarot cards.
What Are Tarot Cards?
Tarot cards come in a deck. Each card symbolizes a human virtue and can be used as a guiding tool in one’s day-to-day life. Originally used as playing cards in the15th century, Tarot cards gained popularity as a divination tool during the18th century. Since then, they have proven to be a reliable guide to self-discovery.
Whether you believe in astrology or not, Tarot cards can be included in your self-care routine. Contrary to the popular belief, the prime purpose of the Tarot is not future predictions. Rather, it is used to get in touch with our sub conscious mind. Here are a few ways to use Tarot cards for self-discovery and guidance.
1. Tarot For Going with The Flow
We are often rigid in our daily routine. Though it maintains some sense of control over our actions, it also hinders creativity and growth.
Fortunately, one of the perks of a Tarot reading is that there are no hard and fast rules. Tarot cards are open to experimentation, and people use them for different purposes. You can go with the flow and decide the routine of card reading. Some people pick a card every morning and rely on its guidance throughout the day. Others like to seek Tarot reading in times of distress.
Before you decide to pick a card, remember to go with your intuition and trust your judgment. Practicing Tarot not only boosts your confidence but also promotes self-love and trust.
2. Tarot for Meditation
Meditating with Tarot cards is a unique way of relaxing. It is a process of introspection and manifesting. All you need to do is select a card with powers that you wish to manifest. For example, if you want to improve your love life, you can select the Lovers card or the Joker card if you wish to start something new.
Although meditating with Tarot card for Beginners is easy, you need high concentration to manifest properly. Follow these steps for a proper meditation with Tarots:
● Create a calm environment
We recommend meditating in a quiet environment. You should keep all the devices away and concentrate on your body. You can also clean the aura with crystals and use essential oils for more relaxation.
● Select a card
You can randomly select any card you want or pick a card with a specific trait that you wish to manifest.
● Focus on your body
Sit in a comfortable position and concentrate on your breath. Slowly, breathe in and out. You will notice random thoughts coming to your mind. Do not resist them. Instead, imagine them and gently let go of them.
● Manifest your card
Observe your Tarot Card Training. Notice its colors and the image drawn over it. How does it make you feel?
Notice your thoughts and feelings, and slowly, let them go. Now, imagine you are inside the card. Are you interacting with the figures inside? If yes, then how? Are you happy, sad or anxious? Do you see anybody with you?
Imagine yourself as the character in the card. What advice would that character give? What goals and ambitions does that character have? What would you like this character to be?
Answer these questions and gently come out of your imagination, and be aware of your surroundings.
● Observe your feelings
Note down the way your mind and body feel. Jot down the things you saw, heard, and thought during meditation.
3. Tarot for Self-Discovery
Like we’ve said before, Tarot is more for inner exploration than the outer. The cards are excellent for tapping into your intuitions and moving past your conscious mind. It also helps in confronting your negative emotions instead of suppressing them. This way, you are more emotionally healthy, and your body is free from negative emotions.
The key is to include Tarot in your everyday lifestyle. There are many exercises you could follow. One of the most common morning exercises is Emotion/Action spread.
In this spread, you pick out 2 cards from the Tarot deck. One represents your emotions, and the other represents your action. Before you shuffle, you can ask the questions like:
What do I need to do to concentrate on today?
What should I do to improve about myself?
What should I look out for today?
For the emotion card, observe the way it makes you feel. Use its insights to guide your mood throughout the day. Whereas, for the action card, use its guidance to understand your strengths and weaknesses and work accordingly.
4. Tarot Cards for Countering Toxicity
Everybody has some toxic traits. Some people are aware of their toxic traits, while others blithely ignore them until they cause some serious damage. Therefore, it is important to be aware of our own toxicity. Since Tarot cards are a way to reach our subconscious mind, they can also help us analyze our emotions.
Let’s say, you have a friend that you admire and love, but after meeting them, you always feel emotionally exhausted. The Best Online Tarot Course can tell you why you feel that way. Maybe, you’re secretly jealous of your friend but haven’t come to terms with your emotions yet. Or maybe, the person emits negativity that your conscious brain hasn’t recognized, but your subconscious mind has.
With your card out in the open, your brain no longer feels the need to block your emotions and lets your emotions flow. By regularly checking and resolving your negative thoughts, you grow as an individual and understand your mind even better.
It is rightly said that the power you strive to achieve is already within you. Human beings can be naïve, but their inner self possesses immense potential. Tarot card reading is the way to connect to your inner self and help you realize your potential. By implementing Tarot cards in your day-to-day life, you can become the best version of yourself and guide others in their journey too.
